LORD PRAYING IN THE GARDEN OF OLIVES
Baroque altarpiece-niche bordered by four Solomonic columns with relief decoration imitating bunches of grapes and vine leaves.
The Lord of the Garden presides over this ensemble. It is a candlestick image made in 2002 by the Murcian sculptor José Antonio Hernández Navarro.
The image is guarded by the Brotherhood of the Lord Praying in the Garden of Olives, which has its canonical headquarters in this temple and holds processions on Palm Sunday and Good Friday.
The altarpiece is topped by a tondo depicting the Virgin and Child.
